Push, play and stop and go
Make it okay,
this way, as we grab
hold, Heave-ho, together we sing,
as one
Blood pumps,
believe me,
in our veins,
Round and round,
upside down,
make it okay
Live on up, we,
dance and sing
All we got to do is -
Push play
Push it to the end
Again and again
Down it goes
listen to the...
Push, play, and stop and go
Make it okay,
fall, all the way,
grabbing hold, heave-ho,
look on up
And down,
reach for,
high
We go
round and round,
searching for an accent
That walks this
way, together
we sing
Holding hands,
let's make it with each other
Push it to the end
Again and again
Down it goes
listen to the...
Push it to the end
Again and again
Down it goes
listen to the...
Push it to the end
Again and again
Down it goes
listen to the...
Push it to the end
Again and again
Down it goes
listen to the...
Push it to the end
Again and again
Down it goes
listen to the...
Push it to the end
Again and again
Down it goes
listen to the...
Push it to the end
Push it to the end
Push it to the end
Push it to the end

Trouble Too Much
03:11
|
|||
Too much trouble
Too much trouble
Too much trouble
Too much trouble
You like trouble too much
Your trouble,
Too much trouble
Your trouble
You like trouble too much
I see you going out of your way to disrupt the status quo, to shake things up a little to get ahead. Your teeth shine with satisfaction when you see a problematic situation turn to your advantage.
Trouble,
Too much trouble
Your trouble
You like trouble too much;
You instil fear for one reason, and one reason only, and that reason is—your eyes twinkle, and your mouth curls when things swing your way when you dispute it.
Trouble,
Too much trouble
Your trouble
You like trouble too much
You've got me shivering;
I'm almost peaking;
I feel like freaking, yeah.
My body is shaking;
the head is aching,
eyes are twitching, yeah.
You think it's okay;
you know it's not;
there is nothing OK about manipulation.
You are a sociopath and a predator, got no imagination, yeah.
Your trouble,
Too much trouble
Your trouble
You like trouble too much
Your trouble,
Too much trouble
Your trouble
You like trouble too much
Your trouble,
Too much trouble
Your trouble
You like trouble too much
Your trouble,
Too much trouble
Your trouble
You like trouble too much;

My Art My Struggle
03:24
|
|||
Portrait of an artist
Bloody tears on the canvas
When you’re an idealist
Everybody looks suspicious
Portraits stare and laugh at me
Statues mock me mercilessly
Shall I do something pointless?
Or nothing at all?
Is it memorable?
I really can’t recall
Art. Struggle
Art. Struggle
Art. Struggle
An artist’s wage can barely afford rage
Art. Struggle
Art. Struggle
Art. Struggle
Dance to the beat of musique concrète
Can’t move my feet
They’re stuck in concrete
No need for talent
When you have torment
Under the rubble
Watch me struggle
Art. Struggle
Art. Struggle
Art. Struggle
Self expression
Bad impression
Art. Struggle
Art. Struggle
Art. Struggle
In the words of Descartes
“That’s not very smart”
“You call that art?”
“Where is the heart?”
Never completed
Only abandoned
Writer’s block
Fuck art. Let’s rock
Aaaahh!
I give up!

Making of An Artist
03:08
|
|||
I was making it down the street
All the hip people were looking at me
Windows gleamed, trees bending all over, raiding mum's closet for vintage tees, oh
Lights flashing saying Buy me, plastic items flowing down the river
Keep your neck warm, hip stardom with a scarf
Familiarise yourself with a dozen ways
Virtual worlds colliding in my brain
Buy me, let me sell my name again
Let's getaway. I want to leave this town today
Straight back to another life far away
The making of an artist in a materialistic world
In the City, conversations for free
Middle-aged people shouting at each other
Headdress scarf, shoving lettuce down again. We have to go to Europe or maybe New Orleans.
Making a new record is very expensive now; once you've paid for it, you've got to get it printed.
That sounds fantastic, especially the drums,
Oh, really, did we both call at the same time
Virtual worlds colliding in my brain
Buy me, let me sell my name again
Let's getaway. I want to leave this town today
Straight back to another life far away
The making of an artist in a materialistic world
The making of an artist in a materialistic world
Images of animals and children's TV
Ironic statements of vintage book covers
Improvisation colourful eyewear
Strong Latte, Ushanka and couches
Virtual worlds colliding in my brain
Buy me, let me sell my name again
Let's getaway. I want to leave this town today
Straight back to another life far away
The making of an artist in a materialistic world
The making of an artist in a materialistic world
The making of an artist in a materialistic world
The making of an artist in a materialistic world
The making of an artist in a materialistic world
The making of an artist in a materialistic world
The making of an artist in a materialistic world
The making of an artist in a materialistic world

Finding somewhere to be in your own
In a crowded city is a difficult prospect
Today, I search for that lonely space
A space I can be alone with my thoughts
I'm outside not far from my messy apartment
In a larger compartment
The city where I live
Sometimes I feel like I've lost something good but I'm unable to work out exactly what
So today I walk round swanning aimlessly looking for a private place I can be.
Drifting past people who are also searching, sniffing and snorting, we try to make sense of it all, making hog like noises
we pass round the pen, we grunt and we snort, we go round again; I wish I could be like Burrows in Tangiers; I'm sick of your hog-like noises in my ear
Incredibly, incredibly, by travelling what seemed a short distance, pushing past all those small minded sons of a bitches,
after peering over and under some old fences, I found myself by Merry Creek.
The perfect spot away from it all, the sun is shining, a creek that feels jolly and content, as the creek continues talking, I intend to use the solitude for writing.
Be a writer, yeah, be a, sit down. On the most comfortable rock I sit down, I can find.
Ready to paint the scene, my scene, your scene, a scene from books.
Instead of a paintbrush traversing across the canvas, I use a pencil and scrapbook.
Instead of mixing colours, I'm going to scout for words.
Write
I'm ready
I say, ah, write
Nothing
You're alone. You've finally found it, lonely, write it down.
Again,
Nothing
Nothing But Pigs

Motivation, your motivation
Your religion, it's fabrication
Calculation, the calculations
Complications, complications
Agitation, agitation, agitation, agitation - go
Graduation, annihilation
Elevation, destination
Your religion, it's fabrication
Fabrication, it's fabrication
Dedication, agitate you
Obfuscation, infatuation
Congratulations, complication
Triangulation of your location
Agitation, agitation, agitation, agitation
Generation, the generation
Fabrication, a fabrication
Deglamation, etagitation
Education, re-aducation
Congregation, re-aducation
Annihilation, disposition
Ahhhhh
Ahhhhh
Agitation, agitation, agitation, agitation

Searchlights
03:36
|
|||
Inside my dreams at night
I see searchlights at first light
Seeking to find me
Wanting to blind me
Gliding over trees
Shining through the breeze
Running in the jungle of life
Hopping and hiding out from strife
Inside my dreams at night
I see searchlights at first light
Looking to recognise us
Trying to uncover all of us
They drift over deserts
And roam along the dusty dirt
Climbing this ladder of mine
Trying not to fall down far behind
Inside my dreams at night
I see searchlights at first light
Inside my dreams at night
I see searchlights at first light
Inside my dreams at night
I see searchlights at first light
Beyond the horizon
They drift down the mountain
Flashing through the trees
Streaming on the breeze
climbing this ladder of mine,
trying not to fall down far behind.
Inside my dreams at night
I see searchlights at first light
Seeking things about you
Needing to reveal, all of you
They skip down the highway
And float in the colourless sky
Running in the jungle of life
Hoping and hiding out from strife
Inside my dreams at night
I see searchlights at first light
Inside my dreams at night
I see searchlights at first light
Inside my dreams at night
I see searchlights at first light
Inside my dreams at night
I see searchlights at first light

Not On Saturday
03:30
|
|||
Supermarket and shade on this sunny day
Seated on a park bench, people wonder about, back and forth
Curious pidgeons huddle, as the tram collects
Bohemians, old revolutionaries, gentrified, simple, suited and white
All different and all the same
A pleasant rectangular space
With an offer of everything today
It's a safe uninstalling middle affair
Something is nothing every footstep
Not on Saturday
Not on Saturday
Not on Saturday
Something is nothing with every footstep
Supermarket and shade on this sunny day
So I rejected my stomach contents
Fountain spiralling
Like a hose over grass by the tree
No one notices me
Heaving on bench
Agitated and gushing red
Not on Saturday
Not on Saturday
Not on Saturday
Something is nothing with every footstep
I've got my bags got my bananas
Dog on a leash, my yellow flowers
I've got my crossword, I got my pillow
Look away, turn away
I've got my tats and orange shoes
I've got my phone and mask too
I've got myself, I've got my generation
Don't want to know about anything else that involves you
Not on Saturday
Not on Saturday
Not on Saturday
Something is nothing with every footstep

Betrayal

Betrayal
Insurgence
To one another
Over and over
Undercover
Roll back lover
In time you'll pay
Deception
Treason
To the people
Without reason
Interpretation
Double-dealing
This administration cannot stay
We've got to dance all night
Because living isn't always easy
We move around when we cry
So we know that it will be okay
Betrayal
Insurgence
To one another
Over and over
Undercover
Rollback lover
In time you'll pay
Decimilated
Eviction
Miss conception
Cloaked danger
At the door
Evangelist without cause
This crowd is not informed
We've got to dance all night
Because living isn't always easy
We move around when we cry
So we know that it will be okay
We've got to dance all night
Because living isn't always easy
We move around when we cry
So we know that it will be okay
Around the corner
Misconception
Classification
Camouflage
This crowd is not informed
Meticulous
Uneven
Lift off
At the door
Evangelist without cause
This administration cannot stay
Again
We've got to dance all night
Because living isn't always easy
We move around when we cry
So we know that it will be okay
We've got to dance all night
Because living isn't always easy
We move around when we cry
So we know that it will be okay

Heroes On The Wall
02:55
|
|||
Mornings here can be grey and dull; the old residential suburbs full of broken-down (attached) brick houses are not what you would typically
expect
It isn't sunny, nor is it beachy
It can be damn
cold, in fact.
That is why it can
boast being home to some of
the greatest rock'n'roll
in Australia.
Pictures of heroes on the wall
Sit slightly off-kilter frayed and torn
Nietzsche, Plath, Roald Dahl
The blue-tack is old and hard
Charlie is a 33 years old writer, with thin black greasy hair. She is of average height, with soft puffy white skin that hasn't
seen the light of day for
some time.
Charlie wears hats
all the time
Pictures of heroes on the wall
Sit slightly off-kilter frayed and torn
Nietzsche, Plath, Roald Dahl
The blue-tack is old and hard
I could not tell you what type of headgear Winona Ryder sports; I just know. I guess, now that I think about it all
the hats Charlie wears
are black,
I think they also have a wide brim,
but I'm not sure.
Pictures of heroes on the wall
Sit slightly off-kilter frayed and torn
Nietzsche, Plath, Roald Dahl
The blue-tack is old and hard
and her bedsheets on the mattress on the floor are slightly wet but not wet enough to bother. There are bottles and cigarette buts in ashtrays everywhere.
